The Bremen Town Musicians is a fairy tale by the Grimm brothers that has brought fame to the city of Bremen. The story is about a donkey, a dog, a cat and a rooster in search of a better life in the city of Bremen, where they plan to become musicians. Today, a two-metre tall bronze statue stands on the left, western side of the town hall to pay homage to this popular German tale. It depicts all of the characters on top of one another, with the donkey as the base. If you decide to visit it, make sure if you grab both of the donkey's front legs for good luck.

Waller Sand Beach Park

Waller Sand is the latest leisure space in the city. It has been created at the end of the New Harbour district, on the site of a former harbour basin. The park's backdrop of industrial buildings and the historical landmark Molenturm, give it a unique urban charm and provide a wonderful setting to watch the sunset. Additionally, the park has a large sandy area which includes playgrounds and volleyball courts. It is easily accessible by tram or by the Weser ferry. If you plan to go there by foot, it's approximately a one-hour walk along the Weserpromenade.
